Request for Comments (RFC)
A Request for Comments (RFC) is a formal publication in the RFC Series used to document Internet protocols, standards, technical specifications, operational practices, research, and related information. RFCs provide a common technical reference for the Internet community and form an important part of the Internet’s technical and standards history.
