Radio waves are waves of high wavelength and low frequency in the electromagnetic wave spectrum. The Radio wave spectrum frequency ranges from 3 KHz to 3,000 GHz. Radio Waves are governed by International Telecommunication Union (ITU).
The theory of Radio Waves was brough in by Physicist and Mathematician James Clerk Maxwell in 1865. In 1880s, Physicist Heinrich Rudolf Hertz proved the existence of Radio Waves. In 1890s, Physicist Jagadish Chandra Bose performed multiple experiments and demonstrated the transmission of radio waves.
Radio waves travel at the speed of light. It is generated either naturally or artificially by accelerating electrons in physical matter or space. Naturally Astronomical object bodies like Sun and other planets emit radio waves. Terrestrially in Earth, lightening and atmosphere generates radio waves. Artificially, electronic devices known as transmitter with antennae are used to generate radio waves by accelerating oscillating electric charge into the antenna.
